There are 3 MVP award winners in each division, each session.
1 MVP from each of these brackets, 6-7-8, 4-5, 2-3, will be awarded a large custom plaque or a free 1 year membership for your outstanding achievement!!!
The winning teams from the 9 BALL DIVISION are invited to play in the L I TAP TITLEHOLDERS TOURNAMENT. (which is an 8 BALL format) you will play at your current 8 BALL handicap or an equivalent of your 9 BALL handicap. If you win this tournament, you will play 9 BALL at the TAP NATIONALS.
The LONG ISLAND TAP TITLEHOLDER winners will receive:
A) NATIONAL TOURNAMENT entry,
B) Travel (to the city where the tournament is being held),(The least expensive flight available. Depending upon the location, lay overs may be our only option.) The league will book your room & flight.
C) Lodging at a local hotel in the city where the tournament is being held (double occupancy = (2 people per room) ***NOTE: If there is an odd number of people going, or if they limit the rooms that are available to me, one or two of the rooms will have an extra bed / cot / pullout couch), unless other arrangements are made with the league office.Your stay will be for the nights needed to play in TAP NATIONAL TEAM EVENT. In the event you would like to extend your trip either before or after NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM EVENT let me know, so we can figure out your share of the added expense.(unless you book it yourself)

The players that qualify for a seat in the L I TAP TITLEHOLDERS do not have to stay on the same team. HOWEVER, each player must remain active (6 matches played each session) in the division that you qualified in.(YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FIELD A MINIMUM 4 PLAYER ROSTER.) Then, the remaining active players can reassemble their team for the L I TAP TITLEHOLDERS TOURNAMENT, and the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT. If identical rosters qualify more than once, you do NOT have multiple seats, ONLY ONE: (more than 8 players qualified for the same team ). Rosters with common players that have multiple qualifications are considered one team. With the exception of adding up to more than 8 players. Only in that instance are they 2 separate teams. (Unless... they are identical rosters from 2 different divisions, then both teams will have a seat.)
***NOTE: If a player is on a roster, and is not actively playing, ( at least 1 regular season match played within 30 days prior to the tournament ) that player will be deemed inactive, and disqualified from the TITLEHOLDER tournament. ( You can't just keep a name on your roster just to play in the TITLEHOLDER tournament that is not actively playing.)
Teams or players that have an outstanding negative balance will not be eligible to play in the TITLEHOLDERS.
